At the scheduled start of the season in Königsleiten we currently give the following statement from:

Because the ratios Weather-/Snow we must, unfortunately, our scheduled start of the season at 3 dec 2011 expected to move to the 8 dec 2011. Currently, due to the mild temperatures (inversion layer: it is in the valley be colder than on the mountain), unfortunately, still not enough snow resembled weekend but it should be colder. We do our best, as soon as possible, to offer our ski slopes open and good conditions. We ask for your patience. The team of the Zillertal Arena

In the summer of 2011 the Königsleiten Bergbahnen built the waste storage of Müllachalm.
With a capacity of 155,000 cubic meters of water it is in winter its utility as a water reservoir for the Snowmaking system fully meets the slopes of Königsleiten.
In winter, a 2.5 km-long high-altitude cross-country ski trail and decorate a winter hiking trail, the dam crest.
